Team Code Of Conduct

Please read and agree before Saturday November 11th 2023

All Diamond Hawks players and their families must read and wholeheartedly agree to this code of conduct. Our goal is to create a positive and enjoyable environment where every team member can thrive. We believe that maintaining a fun and safe atmosphere is essential not only for our growth as athletes but also for our team’s success and unity. Our commitment to this code is rooted in our belief in inclusivity and respect. We pledge to avoid behaviors like trash-talking, inappropriate language, or bullying, ensuring that every player feels valued and respected.

  • 1st Offense: Written warning through email.
  • 2nd: Two event suspension.
  • 3rd: Two week suspension.
  • 4th: Removed from the team.

The Code

1. Respect and Sportsmanship

  • No Trash Talking: We are committed to fostering a positive and supportive environment. Avoid making derogatory remarks or negative comments about your teammates, opponents, or officials.
  • No Bad Words: Profanity and offensive language are not acceptable. Maintain a respectful and appropriate language at all times.
  • No Bullying: We will not tolerate any form of bullying, harassment, or intimidation. Treat all team members, opponents, and coaches with respect and kindness.

2. Team Unity

  • Commit to Doing Your Best: Always give your best effort to help the team. Whether in practice or competition, your dedication and hard work are essential.
  • No Throwing Gear: Show respect for our equipment and facilities. Throwing gear, breaking equipment, or damaging property is not allowed.
  • No Complaints About Positions or Batting Order: Trust your coach’s decisions and be adaptable. Complaining about your position or batting order disrupts team harmony.

3. Communication

  • No Talking Down to Other Players: Encourage and support your teammates. Avoid belittling or demeaning language, both on and off the field.

4. Reporting Concerns

  • Any Player Reporting Another Player: If you have concerns about a teammate’s behavior or actions that violate this code of conduct, it’s important to report it to the coach or a designated team leader. Reporting is not meant for personal vendettas but to maintain a positive team environment.

Violations of this code of conduct may result in disciplinary action, such as warnings, suspension, or expulsion from the team, depending on the severity and frequency of the offense. We are a team, and we are committed to working together in a respectful and sportsmanlike manner.

We place a strong emphasis on a positive team spirit, where each player commits to giving their best and supporting their teammates. Respecting coaching decisions and maintaining our gear and facilities reflect our responsibility and dedication to our team’s success. Our commitment to healthy communication and accountability helps create a supportive environment where everyone can thrive.
